Hey girls !
First of all, after lurking around for a while, I must say this website is pretty awesome. I'm glad I found it !
So, I'm 21, and I live in France (so… sorry about my English), half of the time in Paris, and the other half on the north-eastern countryside, not too far from Germany. Before anyone asks, no, I don't eat frogs, nor snails. (Plus, I'm a vegetarian.)
I'm on this forum, so I'm obviously not straight, but bisexual. I do like girls better than men, but geeky girls are rather hard to come by.
I play mostly on PC (Steam !), but I'm also a big retrogaming fan. I own every main Nintendo console since the NES (by "main", I mean excluding Virtual Boy and the oh-so-many Game&Watch), both handheld and home systems, except for the 3DS ; and also an Atari 2600, a Sega Genesis, a PSP and a PS3. And my ever growing family is about to welcome a Xbox 360 and a Dreamcast. I play about any genre, though I'm not a big fan of sports game, and I irrevocably suck at fighting games. Seriously. I'ts uncanny how bad I am.
I'm really into Clover/Platinum games, especially Okami, Madworld, Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and most lately, Vanquish. I'm also a big Sonic fan – but I refuse to participate in the "classic Sonic VS modern Sonic" flamewar. I play Fallout games an awful lot, as well as Portal, and Katamari Damacy games. My Steam list is a bit over 100 games, and I have absolutely no idea how many console games I have.
I like to think of myself as a computer geek, but I don't do much programming. I guess I'm more of a hardware geek, as I really enjoy building and updating my own PCs. I used to watch a lot of anime and read a lot of manga in my teen years, but I've grown to be very picky about those. Still, I'm an avid comic book reader, and am an artist myself, hoping to someday become a published comic book author. Aside from arts, I study languages (Japanese, though I'm only starting, and English) in order to become a (video games) translator.
I knit, I read a lot of fiction, I watch an even bigger lot of sci-fi, am a huge Whovian (lately I knitted a replica of the Fourth Doctor's Season 15 scarf, and I've got a Dalek cookie jar keeping an eye on the door of my apartment. Now that's safety, isn't it ?), used to play Star Wars Miniatures a lot, have been a Pokémon nerd for nearly 12 years, and just like everyone I enjoy watching movies and listening to music.
I think that's about all I can say about me. Nice to meet you girls !
