Hi there!
My name is Link Hughes and I’m going to be giving a presentation on the
state of gay gaming at PAX Prime at the end of the month. To round out my preparation, I’m doing some
light, informal research. If you’ve got fifteen
minutes to spare, I would be much obliged if you would complete the Gay Gamer
Perspectives survey at:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JQQSNYG
The questions cover subjects like the relationship between
gay and lesbian gamers and the greater queer community, the game industry’s
attitudes towards gay gamers, and the ways that gay gamers see each other. In general, I’m looking to learn more about
gay gamers as a population, as well as the differences in how we see ourselves
vs. how other groups (like straight gamers and non-gaming gays) see us.
The survey will accept answers from the first 100
respondents and will be online for the next week or so. If you know other gay gamers who would be
willing to participate, please feel free to pass the above survey link along to
them.
Thank you for your time and, hopefully, your participation
in the survey.
(Also, as a side note, rock on with your awesome selves! I was aware of gaymer.org, but from what I understand, that is overwhelmingly dominated by gay men. Very cool to find that lesbian gamers also have a home on the net!)
