I just found this site and found it really interesting and thought "Hey why not?!".
So here is a little about me. I am 24 from Canada and am currently working as a Project Manager for a "Digital Consultation and Production boutique" (IE we design web based applications, tools, interactives and never websites, but always end up doing websites…)
In the past I have been quite passionate about video games, especially in terms of viewing them as a narrative or even a form of art in some cases. When I was studying Arts Management (which is more focused on the traditional arts) I always managed to twist an assignment and turn it into something about video games or comics. These days however I just play games when I manage to have some time.
I usually play PC games and I have an irrational resentment against consoles (just as much as I resent the MAC). I view it as the dark side but don't worry it is just a personal preference of mine and I don't judge people regarding it. Its just like how I don't judge people for loving GLEE. ;) I am usually not that strong with my opinions anyway since I do occasionally play the 360 and if I have a craving to game I might grab a friend's MAC if that's the only thing that's lying around.
Some of my favourite games include the Elders Scrolls III: Morrowind, Fallout Series and Counter-Strike. These days I usually casually play Steam Games including TF2, L4D2 and CS:S. I just finished Portal II and am chipping away at Dragon Age II and Test Drive Unlimited II right now.
Other things I enjoy include graphic novels (Vertigo mostly), fantasy/sci-fi horror of most mediums, thinking about the zombie apocalypse and writting short stories. I played a little of DnD 4E and loved it but its find to find a group of people who will commit to it. On a side note I recently started playing hockey in a rec league and am having lots of fun with it. I am also just getting into Soft Ball as well.
Anyways, I'll end this ramble because its getting a bit late for me. I look forward to getting to know you fine ladies and friends of the community!
Cheers,
Aly
