AKA my dream to make my own armour

Now, I have never done anything like this, but it is my dream to get it done next summer. I have no idea what I am doing and I am notorious for having crazy dreams like this and not getting it done but this time I AM SERIOUS!

Anywho, anyone else out there made any crazy space armour? Or want to join me in my quest and we can motivate each other/complain rant about problems together?

I am thinking of making a simple piece of armour over the Xmas break, I've got the time and it'll be easier to get an idea of what I am getting myself into.
