Within temptation is good. If you like that band maybe you should try Lacuna coil and Guano apes as they are both female fronted bands with a "heavy" sound.
Halestorm is also a good female fronted band.

I've heard of Launca Coil, they use to be my favorite band until I found Within Temptation, though I've got to say I love their Comalies Album the best. But my favorite song is Cold from In a Reverie

Also kind of in the same vein as Lacuna coil and within temptation is this band called Nightwish. I think that their song "Nemo" is kind of well known, though i do like "Amaranth" a lot more.

WT is a great band. I really like "Our Solemn Hour" and "Hand of Sorrow" (that song is EPIC) off The Heart of Everything album.

There's another band called 'Leaves' Eyes' too which are kinda similar, and then there's 'Auf Der Maur'; one of my faves :)

Big fan of WT's music. There are so many good songs that I can't actually pick a favourite, I just have random preferences that change and rotate.
So excited for the new album. Not long now. And the concert in November. I am standing outside all day to get as close to the front as possible.
