Ya, the new single sure is something else. It sounds kinda like a rip off of Waterfalls and it is also so so so so pop-ish that i feel like my ears are getting assaulted by a group of makeup covered monkeys. She is trying to hard to make "Born this way" an anthem.
I know a lot of people don't like her because she is all outrageous and whatnot, but I actually think she's a really talented musician. I really respect artists who write their own lyrics or music.
When she first became popular I got really sick of Poker Face because it was played so often so it took me awhile to actually give her a chance. Her bizarre/awesome performance of Paparazzi at one of the MTV awards shows last year sold me. I loved how weird it was and how amazing she sounded live. I think she's an extremely talented artist and I have a lot of respect for her.
I agree, i have nothing but respect for her even though i kinda dislike her extreme outfits, the lady got some fierce vocals and a knack for getting attention. Her voice reminds me of Christina aquilera's sometimes.
I have her Fame Monster album. I quite like it but I can't listen to it the whole way through. A few select songs every now and then. I like Bad Romance. :)
As for the image, I love the stage and glamour and the drama of it all. It's good fun.
I feel like one of the few people who really like "Born This Way" haha because everyone else I know seems to hate it! I'm not a huge fan of her music because it's just not my thing, but I do adore her sense of fashion and self. Also, I gained an immense respect for her after seeing her in concert in February. Anyone who says she's talentless and unskilled needs to see her sing and dance for hours without flaw or signs of fatigue.
Ok, 4 songs into Born This Way, and it's still not impressing me. I found 'Edge of Glory' is suuuuper boring, and I just heard 'Marry the Night' (thanks to farmville), I definitely like it more than Edge of Glory… it's kind of catchy and upbeat. 'Judas' is growing on me, but I still think the lyrics are really bad.
I really like the intro to Judas! As for the rest of the song, it's aight.
I have to say my favorite song is Poker Face, followed by just Dance. I don't know if she's really bisexual or if that's just a ploy she's using to get more attention from the LGBT community, which she seems to have a firm grip on anyway.
I still can't figure if like Judas or Not, it keeps getting stuck in my head. but the video confuses the crap out of me. and now it keeps haunting me on the radio. why does her song have to be so damn Catchy GRR
I'm actually liking the new album a lot more than I thought I would. Now if only I could get my born this way-hating fiancee to check it out. hmmmm!
