Hmm, wasn't there a rant thread somewhere around here before? I can't find it, so I'm starting (a new) one!
So, my rant for today:
I really absolutely cannot stand "hardcore" elitist gamers who look down on others for choosing easier but legitimate options. Not everyone thinks super hard/tedious = super fun. Just because someone picked easier options (weapons, armour, spell, whatever), doesn't necessarily mean they don't know how to play otherwise; they probably just don't enjoy it as much. I had someone annoying like that in co-op mode today. It's frigging co-op! I'd rather you choose "easy" guns than random hard guns and fail.
The end.

My rant is about football games. As far as i'm concerned, there are only two in the market today. FIFA and Pro Evo. It's so annoying that one has features the other doesn't and vice versa. Also consistent with these titles is the fact that subsequent games are always lacking something that made the previous game great. Hence making you wait, nay, ache for the next one. there are other titles in the genre but Real Football (w/ Steven Gerrard) and This is Football are non-exsistent and/or total crap compared to the giants we confront in the current market. So annoying.
Unlike other genres;FPS, for example, where you can get your fix Halo, KillZone, call of duty, Medal of honor, BattleField. I do not think, for one moment, that there is a person who owns all this games and is not satisfied – on some level, at least- with the quality that these games provide.
perhaps FIFA and Pro Evo should join forces and create a franchise like, maybe once every 2 years. Like Street Fighter and Tekken.

Please please please move out of the way when i am walking. I understand that you love your child and everything but is it really necessary for you to walk in the center of the sidewalk as slow as possible, pushing your baby carriage whilst talking loudly on the phone? And dont even give me a look if i brush against you when i try to get around, you are taking up the entire sidewalk, for fucks sake.

The people I live with.
There are 4 of them, 5 if we include the guy's girlfriend who appears to be attached to him. Despite this, when I got home from my 2.5 week vacation yesterday afternoon I was greeted with:
- a bathtub drain clogged with hair (I had to unclog it)
- a kitchen side covered in washing up
- two overflowing bins
- a litterbox with so much shit in it the cat couldn't use it if he wanted to (I had to clean it out and replace it with fresh cat litter)
- no food for the cat (I had to buy this today)
And this is our cat that we bought and have been raising / caring for together. Apparently if I'm not there these people cannot actually function. It's a miracle they managed to pay the electricity bill.

I went to the doc and was asked to buy this cream at the pharmacy… but tendonitis just naturally takes ages to heal. At least I don't wake up from pain during the night now.

It does but diclofenac can do wonders for inflammation since it's applied right to the area (versus pills) you can get … ooh what's it called… Voltaren emulgel? It's basically prescription less diclofenac (since prescription is a higher concentration of diclofenac and the gel is about 3%).
My rant: People who are so ignorant and have to make sure their opinion is heard at every turn throwing the bible around to suit their needs and then telling other people that they need to open THEIR eyes and calling them in turns cheerleaders and demons. *steam*

I'm moving out in September when my contract expires. It's still six months but I think I can handle it.
Problem is that I'm the peace-keeper / parent for the household. If I flip out then I have to go round apologising to everyone and making everything ok so that we don't spend months avoiding each other and sitting in awkward silences. *sigh*
In other news: COUPLES WHO PDA! I don't mind a little bit but seriously, if you can't go to a supermarket without feeling the need to face-suck, please don't leave your house.

I've had similar experience, only the person didn't fart, but didn't brush their teeth…
My rant for today: I just walked home carrying 5kg of books… All this could be avoided if they allowed us to use the software version, as we would when we graduate and go to work… Or if I drive…
So. Tired.

So, I just finished arranging my references for my postgraduate application and I decided that I would go to the open day in order to meet the head of the program and ask him a few questions. He told me that the head of the department has decided that offering ancient greek language courses on an ancient history degree isn't worthwhile and considering I'm specialising in ancient greece a working knowledge of ancient greek language is essential.
Basically, the degree I just finished arranging my application for has been rendered useless. Hur-frakcing-rah.

I hate biology class, I know now I have a work session in which I demonstrate that a drug "Anti-lesbian" is a bullshit, but outside work session, I still hate the biology class.
Why? Because it is a real brainwashing in which nothing can be questioned. But what irritates me most is that every time we touch the subject of human reproduction, the teacher or students take the opportunity to prove their sexism. One example is a student who went to see the teacher to say that after joining the chromosomes to determine whether anomaly or not, the student said the only anomaly he found is that the DNA to be studied is that of a girl.

If I'm doing you a favor of epic proportions, don't try to shit me. Beyond epic favor almost miracle level and a prolonged commitment. If someone watched your back and really gave you a fresh start….how could you be so nonchalant? Every now and then people really do surprise me. I don't expect and praise, pat on the back, or feel as if I'm owed. I just expect a bit of respect.

hear hear about the bible bit. I seem to notice, that Xtianity nowadays is now more like a business, advertising, merchandising… the works. I sh!t you not, i once saw a poster, "…Your salvation in two days" i swear i almost added "…or your money back." but who am i to judge, huh?
Mine today is about the English language. while being the least expressive yet easiest language to learn, it seems to me like the language is becoming increasingly vulgar, without provisions for words to express these profanities. Instead, a word already in existence, benign most times is used.
Like 'train', 'sandwich', tons others.

I want to rant about the Xbox 360 and PS3.
I think it's a huge shame that the Xbox (and Xbox 360) can play music while you play games and the PS3 console, With all the Cell processing and the 3.2 GHz on 8 cores blah blah can't. I'm not sure that other ps3 owners care but i do. I mean, I could get an xbox just for that but i'm very principled against owning an Xbox of any kind although i played Xbox and 360 before ps2 and 3 respectively. i still give them their props getting rid of cords then getting rid of the controller completely. I've come this close to buying an XboX more times than i would care to admit.
sony should release a firmware of some kind that allows me access to my music even while i play; or at least let the NGP do that.

@lovesnella – i think there are some selective games where u can play music on the ps3 and play the game at the same time like gran turismo 5, you can set the playlists in the options section for it in the game
@naz – tell me about it… its so bullshit! when i was trying to get out of the train for my stop this morning it was like trying to get through a mosh pit lol

Holy shit am I freakin allergic to myself? I'm tired of downing zyrtec and benadryl, or is it that downing them is making me tired? Check to both. Actually had a doc stop by my station and blame the bradford pears. I swear if they weren't so beautiful I'd lead a crusade to eradicate them from the earth (one more week of this and to hell with aesthetics). I've never had this bad of an allergy season. F*** allergies.
