By discovering this very late tonight (when I post, it is close to midnight), I had what is called a shock and I let you read this to understand why…

Interesting article. I liked the last comment I read about the woman who has been trying forever to even have ANY child.

You have died of dysentery.

Serious breach of medical ethics. Wonder why the AMA hasn't nailed her yet? Maybe closet dike has forgotten that being a doctor used to be considered "man's work." Ugh, to much for me to process after a full shift. W…t….f….. Guess it doesn't help that I just finished reading "A handmaid's tale."

Hmmmm… It's a weird article to read. It's scientific, but it seems illogical.
It's pretty much stating being lesbian is a chemical thing.
It's almost like the same flaw of thinking depression can only be a chemical thing.
Sure there's neurotransmitters telling our brain cells to release chemicals so we "feel" things a certain way. But I've always grasped what we feel as being a cause and effect of our environments. And not just that, look at the way different societies are structured around the world. Each society reinforces specific behaviors in a person. And also specific habits, such as… lets take wearing shoes in a house as a really random example.
Anyway what I'm getting at, is the presumption is that all lesbians are the side affect of a chemical deficiency of a sort (well in this article I mean). Where the flaw in that is perhaps… I mean sure you could say that… but there's a high probability that given the element of choice, and the high rate of population in the world, that statistically someone is just seriously going to be attracted to the same sex. It's like statistically a highly densely populated area is going to have crime in it, and you can't solely blame crime on funky chemicals, it's due to boredom, poverty… etc…
And taking in perspective society… It's pretty much invented. Someone decided "hey women and men should get married". And then someone decided, "the women should wear a white dress, and the men should wear suits". And so down the line everyone kept making decisions that for some odd reason caught on (advertising *cough cough*) and then eventually it became taboo not to just do as everyone had already decided.
Hey maybe I've been listening to Otep a bit to much :P who knows, but the logic behind the article just seems a bit faulty.
It was interesting. But I've never met anyone that could point out I'm lesbian. I dress like a fairly feminine chick (it's the whole mentality of, everyone does it so hey… just go with the flow… weeeee…). Just my sneakers and short nails that give me away :P must be those pesky chemicals brain washing me…damn chemicals…
But that's just my random rambling on the subject…

In addition to wanting to put this topic to date, I will like you to know that I have now, as part of my biology class, a term paper that is by choosing the topic, explain the problem, collect biological data , Enumerations and explanations of the choices available to fix the problem and discussion about these choices. And the subject matter, you probably know, is the article of this topic!
So on the advice of my teacher, if you know where I can find information on (or you can explain) the role of hormones in prenatal development, this would be very nice! ^_^

I don't really get it much. Apparently the drug is to stop kids from being trannys, which is excusable.
But about stopping kids from being sexually attracted to the same sex, I highly doubt it. You can't tell a bird not to fly, nor a fish not to swim.
If i'm into girls, i'm into girls. It has nothing to do with hormones or whatever, i think. whatever, i'm not a doctor.
This is a non-issue in my book. Lets talk about how farting in public can earn you a jail term in Malawi, or how incest is currently being legalised in some countries. It's none of anyone's business, but it's sure fun to talk about.

Haha, I thought you were kidding about the farting in public law. I was like, noway, she must be joking, good one… Then I googled it, and it's for real!! I actually have no comment to that law. It just seems dum. Something South Park could take and really take the mickie out of.
The Burqa ban in France though, to me seemed unreasonable. On one hand it will help if a husband is abusing his wife. The burqa hides that. But to be entirely honest a lot of women, who do not wear a burqa, hide being abused. So that's a sort of dead end argument.
I don't agree with taking away choice.
As for incest… I've tried to find a country where is is legal… but have yet to come up with a result.
I have come across some arguments for it though. That some people believe if you are an adult you should be able to marry who ever you want… I guess I understand the argument… I can't say I understand the need to want to marry a sibling? Seems sort of important for it not to happen, considering if two siblings have children together there's genetic deformities.
I dunno really what to say regarding incest O_o I don't have a brother… I have a half sister, and I would NEVER even consider something like that ewe ewe ewe… but then homophobes can't even fathom being gay. Hard topic… Cause how can you tell two people who out of free will love each other, that they cannot? o_O
What are your thoughts on it (lovesNella, but I also direct this question to anyone that has a comment on it)???
