I do not know if you can call it an irrational fear, but every one I see banana spirit to be eaten, I just get a taste of vomit would run away as far as possible.
I also have a deep hatred for sexism, but it remains only to its ideals. For individuals sexist, I'll just see them and ask "why?".

OMG I hate spiders!  I hate them on my heel even more. When I see a spider, I usually jump out of my skin, but a moment later I try to catch them and release them outside.
For a screwball answer, how about Cheerios? I can't stand to look at them. Just the thought of Cheerios in milk is about enough to make me want to throw up. I sometimes have to ring up other things than prescriptions at the drugstore where I work, and they put the cereal right next to the pharmacy….whenever someone hands me a box of Cheerios, I always turn it over :P

I agree with you Nimbo, with both. When I find out that I have committed the crime and then I get particularly annoyed. I don't think it's irrational though! :)
On the other hand, irrational fear? Dead spiders. Alive spiders are fine. Dead spiders just creep the hell out of me :S

Yeah, so do I. I'm not good at expressing my emotions or talking about them. Childhood trauma is such a blast. Anyways, I hate it. It causes so many problems in my "love life" :/. Actually, my relationship JUST fell apart partly because of that -_-. I fail.

Yes! Public bathrooms are terrible! Like, it's bad enough with all the creepers in there. Do they really have to be that filthy as well? Ugh, I'm always worried that I'll get some crazy STD if I use them. Damn my inability to pee standing! *shakes fist* haha.

Public Toilets.. can't use them, can't wait inside them for other people… also, I used to be scared of stairs but my high school wouldn't let me use the elevator, so I had to get used to them. oh, and the ocean, I can go out in a boat and jump in, as long as I can see my feet. But I can't walk out into the ocean.

I have a very irrational and concrete fear of religion. It's really weird, but when I go to a church, or religious organisation, I actually start to shake and I can't breathe. Eeek! I'm shaking now!!! :O :O :O

I have an odd fear of stairs. When going up stairs, I can't help but picture my foot slipping and falling face first and knocking teeth out and when going down, I picture slipping backwards and smacking my head on the steps. I have no idea why, and it only started a few years ago.
Another one is getting a mechanical pencil stuck in my eye, everytime I'm in an exam, I picture my head falling forward straight onto my pencil and poking my eye out. Its really bizarre, I don't have the same fear for pens or normal pencils.

Umm…Dark Basements. I think they're cool to have as a nerdie bat-cave type of thing, but once the light is turned off it's a mad dash upstairs to safety! Stupid basements, I wish they weren't so cool and creepy at the same time!

Falling over in the shower and dying. It's horrible, every time I go into the shower I am very careful that I'm holding onto something. Maybe this isn't irrational? It is quite common for people to do this.
