I created a fantasy baseball league and want to fill it up with some
gay-friendly folks. I'm big into fantasy sports (basketball, football)
and would love to meet some like-minded people. It's free and fun to
play, and a great way to learn about the sport. The draft is on Wed.

I'm not very familiar with baseball. Much less the myriad of players that ae being touted.
I'm more of a football fan. (like Association football)

My ex loved this stuff! I kind of got into it when I was with her. If she wasn't playing games like assassin's creed, it was fantasy football with her buds!

I grew up playing sports all through college, and have recently found this a fun way to stay "in the game". I've never played Fantasy Baseball before and it does seem like it's a super long season with a ton of players. It's all good though :) I just need to squeeze in some time between gaming and all this stuff…
Unless someone is really tanking or hurt I think you could set up a team and just let it play out, maybe taking a look at it for a little bit each week. I have no clue though. If more people don't sign up, I'm going to open it up to the public :p

Yeah, I think most fantasy leagues have a team minimum. They may scrap us and throw us into another "league". I can't make the draft tonight, but am having a bit of a time finding where to pre-rank my players. May just have to settle for whatever I get and trade for something decent.

Eh scrap that. Players are pre-ranked! Lol I can tell you now that if you want A-rod feel free. If I could've figured out how to take him off the board I would have. Maybe one reason I always come in last is that I refuse to have any yankees on my line up.

I preranked a few, and dropped down a few yanks too. No thanks on Arod either. I think the only Yank i'd take is Mo. He's got class and for his age is still killer in closer. Huge Red Sox fan here so I was born with a hatred of all things NY (sports related lol). There's only one I reeeaaalllllyyyy want, but I'm keeping quiet on that one in the hopes he's available :) I just opened it to the public so it'll fill up closer to tonight. Where are you from? FB?

Ugh, my team looks a blame mess. Somehow autodrafted like half of my OF that's on the DL. WTF? Will take a bit to get use to ESPN, have only used yahoo in the past. From NC. What do you mean by fb?

Oh I hate that! I hung around the laptop and drafted live. It's super Sox-heavy but I have a good feeling about them this year. I was just wondering if you were on facebook or something. I've primarily played with ESPN, I like the format better than Yahoo. It does take some getting used to, but I think you'll like it.

Gottcha, link sent via PM. Love the sox, but think I'm going to start following the Braves this year as well. Easier since they are in my home market (that and my family is full of fans). Luckily most of my folks on the DL are listed at most 15 days. So should be able to ride it out.

haha indeed. It was just opening weekend. But you're so use to seeing Jacoby step it up, he's just a clutch guy. Haven't looked to hard at my line up, but am starting to wonder if I'm going to have to swap out pitchers a good bit. Other leagues used a team pitching staff. So instead of starting for example Beckkett, I'd start "boston". I'm waiting to see if folks are going to start dropping/adding pitchers based on starts. I have a bad habit of holding on to who ever I draft.
