Fringe granted season three – The Pattern continues people!

Great news for Fringe fans – like moi – Fox has granted the show a third season. The gang – Olivia Dunham, Walter Bishop, Peter Bishop and Astrid Farnsworth – will all be back for another season of X-Files like investigations. If you want your lesbian geek connection, there are actually two, though sadly neither are in the show as such. First up there’s the hero and hottie Olivia Dunham, played by Aussie actress Anna Torv. We’ve covered her before because she played a lesbian in UK miniseries Mistresses, she also kissed a woman in Fringe. Then there’s cute sidekick Astrid Farnsworth who is played by out actress Jasika Nicole.

   I am very excited Fringe got renewed. I read about a month ago that Astrid will be getting more screen time in the second half of season 2 so let’s hope that extends to season 3 as well.

   Another X-Files fan here too. It’s amazing though Abrams said Fringe wasn’t going to be like The X-Files, we can’t help but make that comparison.
