James Cameron’s Avatar game needs HDMI for full 3D effect

As you’re no doubt all aware, James Cameron’s upcoming movie “Avatar” uses special technology that will allegedly bring a 3D experience to us without the need for colored lenses. Apparently the game by Ubisoft will offer the same experience, but you’ll need a HDMI 1080p connection to enjoy it. This means Xbox 360 owners with the older machines won’t get the full experience. It all sounds dubious to us, but maybe that’s because the term “movie tie-in” tarnishes what they’re saying. I guess we’ll see later this year, but will we see in 3D.
