Ugly Betty lesbian storylines killed off

We think Ugly Betty falls under nerd / geek misc, as it’s a fairly geeky show. So with this in mind we thought recent comments by Vanessa Williams about the show were interesting. According to Williams – who plays Wilhelmina Slater in the show – there was meant to be a lesbian love affair between Judith Light’s character Claire and Christine Baranski’s character Victoria.

Williams stated “[ABC] put the kibosh on it,” – “I don’t know why.”and Executive producer Silvio Horta stated “We thought about it, but ultimately decided to go in a direction that would set up more stories for next season.”

Yeah because having a couple of lesbians in the show will impede setting up other stories, give me a break.
