Here’s your gaming news roundup for the week. We’ve tried to comb the matted hair of gaming news this week and come out with the Eva Longoria shampoo advert styled news, clean, short and straight… well.. you can’t have everything.

It’s official: Square Enix take over Eidos
Yes after all those months of back and forth chatter, it’s apparently a done deal. I’m not sure how I feel about Square Enix now owning the Tomb Raider franchise, but business is business.

Bayonetta – was good, now sexist drivel?
We’ve been following Bayonetta for awhile now, as we thought it was going to be an awesome game with cool female lead. Now according to the ESRB Bayonetta might just be a boys jiggle fest. ESRB: “Some of the more provocative outfits are shed during battle, resulting in brief depictions of buttocks and breasts. The camera occasionally pans close-up on breasts as they are jiggling.” Yawn, who knew the average age of ESRB employees was 13.

Fable II See the Future DLC adds 250 gamerpoints
Alright gamerpoint whores, looks like Fable II will be doing your bidding when it adds a further 250 points up for grabs with the new DLC See the Future. Oh and you’ll be able to change the breed of your dog.

Harmonix announces LEGO Rock Band
Not the tie-in you’d expect really is it, but yes apparently Harmonix will be bringing us LEGO Rock Band. The game will be out on DS, 360, PS3 and Wii in time for the holiday season. Needless to say they’re working with Traveller’s Tales on the title.

Sony to make ‘Electrifying’ announcement April 27
According to the official Sony site there’s something of an “electrifying” announcement coming April 27 and it’s something to do with inFamous and Uncharted 2. Could a demo of Uncharted 2 be coming with inFamous when it releases next month, or cross over characters?

Assassin’s Creed 2 further info
One console rumors are put to rest as Ubisoft announce the game will appear on all platforms (was there REALLY ever any doubt?). Ezio will be the ‘hero’ of the piece, male, again. And the game will release late this year (slippage aside). A female assassin would have been cool *sigh*

Dead Rising 2 hero Chuck Greene
Chuck Greene? Really after Frank West you’d think they could have come up with a better name than Chuck Greene. How about Chuck OR Carla Greene, or Frank or Francesca West?! Anyway, another male lead and another yawn filled name. NEXT!

Arkham Asylum PS3 features Joker as playable
At least on some special “Joker Challenge Maps” in upcoming title Batman: Arkham Asylum. Go on say it… why so serious?

Fallout New Vegas announced by Bethesda
Prepare to lose even more months of your life as Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment work together on a new Fallout title: Fallout New Vegas. It’s not a sequel to Fallout 3, it’s something new, but will be an RPG for PS3, PC and 360 in 2010.
