Home and Away lesbian kiss cut sparks outrage and kiss-off

Not sure if soaps are considered geeky, but it’s a slow news day so why the hell not. You might remember a few years ago Aussie soap Neighbours hit the headlines with its ‘lesbian’ kiss between two schoolgirls. Well now it’s the turn of Home and Away, problem is apparently the controversy surrounding this one has caused the kiss to be removed prior to it airing.

With that in mind protesters are planning to stage a mass ‘kiss-off’ at Melbourne’s Federation Square in protest of Channel Seven cutting the scene. So if you’re in Melbourne and not busy tonight… gay, bi, straight and you want to let your kiss be heard, Federation Square is the place to be.

Update:
According to the shows producer the leaked story that the kiss will not appear is in fact false. I guess we’ll all see tonight when the episode airs.
