Gays in Gaming – GamePlayer look at the issue

The lovely Kate tips us off to this article at GamePlayer which discusses Gays in Gaming. Writer Stuart Clarke does a nice job of looking at a few older games in which bisexual or gay characters were eradicated for audiences outside of Japan.

The article then nicely covers how perhaps the closet door is slightly ajar, more so for bisexual characters than for gay characters, but that perhaps a change is a coming. It’s a good read and nice to see a site like GamePlayer even covering the issue.

   I’ve been patiently waiting….
   if I ever manage to find time to create my own game, it will have a gay character.
