Top PC game for January Wow Lich King
No big surprise that World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King would be number one for January, what is odd is that the number 4 title, World of Warcraft is allegedly being pulled off Australian Shelves because it’s illegal to sell it here due to some ratings botch.
Are Square Enix buying Eidos?
That’s the rumor. Now one has to wonder what this would mean for the Tomb Raider franchise if this went through. Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider crossover?
Riddick: Dark Athena dated
After being ‘left in the dark’ (sorry, shameless Pitch Black reference) for ages the dates for Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena are finally with us. It looks like store shelves will be hit with it April 7, with a demo expected to hit sometime in early March.
Microsoft retail stores incoming
Looks like Microsoft will soon be hitting the high street with product specific stores. Well it work’s well for the Apple stores, so who knows, maybe this will work for MS. They’ll no doubt be packed with Xbox gear.
Grabbed By the Ghoulies hits Xbox Originals
Rare’s first big outing on the Xbox was a little title called “Grabbed by the Ghoulies” and it’s about to hit the Xbox originals service for 1200 MSP. Is it a good game? Well let’s just say we loved this when it was first released. Quirky, cute, fun and definitely worth a look.
New Resident Evil on the Wii?
Resident Evil 5 producer Masachika Kawata hinted at a new Resident Evil title for the Wii when being interviewed at European gaming site Eurogamer. He stated: “Personally I would like to create something on Wii in the Resident Evil family,” he revealed. “At the moment we don’t know and have just been working on RE5, so watch this space.” Here’s hoping it’s better than Umbrella Chronicles… ugh.
NCSoft’s Guild Wars 2 delayed
Fans of Guild Wars are in for a long wait for the sequel with news that a downturn in profits has led to the Guild Wars 2 being unlikely until 2010-2011. First announced in 2007 it wont be the first game that’s taken 4 or 5 years to come to fruition.
God of War III official site launches
Yes the site for God of War II has launched and the fire burns in the eyes of Kratos. There’s not much happening on it at the moment – a couple of trailers and screenshots – but you can sign up for updates if you’re a megafan. God of War II site.
