It IS possible for lesbians to "woo" straight female characters. I just had sex with a straight female character. It said she was straight, but it also said she was "kinky", so I'm wondering if lesbian sex is just kinky to her and doesn't speak to her sexuality. I didn't try to marry her, but the ring was there so it seemed to be an option.

A lot of people have already said all there is to be said but, just to put it to rest once and for all, male heroes cannot woo lesbian NPCs. Whenever flirting, the lesbian NPC will simply say something along the lines of "I think you have the wrong person".
I like Fable 2 but I keep thinking there should be more. I absolutely ADORED the first game and I still love it to this day but Fable 2 is riddled with glitches, bugs, jerkiness (if that's a word) and many flaws. I had a wife that divorced me for no reason (and how come they get custody of the kids? I can give up adventuring, I REALLY can!) and Rose gave some excellent points as to the problems with the main story. I particularly didn't like that my hero was meant to be the star but all anyone talked about were the other heroes (Hammer, Garth and Reaver). Unlike the first game, where everyone was focused on your character.

I finally came across the gender-switch potion, but it's not available until after you complete the main quest and then you have to decide whether to quaff right then and there. You don't get to put the potion itself in your inventory.
I didn't drink it, although I think I will next time with a different character.
I also have one instance of gender confusion; there's a woman who is identified as straight who is in love with me and to whom I can offer a ring. She's the only non-lesbian/non-bisexual woman that is showing up this way. I'm tempted to offer the ring, but only to see what happens and hopefully the game won't autosave on me. I'm already busy enough keeping two families happy. And I've already paid 2k gold to a blackmailer who wrote me a letter that started with "Dear Adulterer..." so I'm not adding a third spouse to the mix!
And the ability to add facial hair to your female hero is interesting. And sometimes necessary. I still have to head back to town and get muttonchop sideburns before heading out to re-try a particular side-quest. It's not a good look on me. Really, it's not.

I played as a female hero and married several women as well as a male when I realized that two women couldn't have children.
I married a bisexual man and then had unprotected sex to have a child. Then I killed the man in an effort to get the child to follow me to my other wife (evil-ish I know but I was desperate lol) but after that happens social services just takes away your child. Which is stupid but whatever.
Much the same as when your spouse divorces you, they take the children with them and you never hear from them again.
I found however that no matter what I did, how many gifts I bought them, how much time I spent with them, (for the males) how often their needs were taken care of - when I left the town and then came back, regardless of the amount of time spent away, they would divorce me. Which is incredibly frustrating when you have like 3 kids and they take them all away. But that may have been because of the bigamy I'm not sure.
Also I thought it was a cute touch that they put in a storyline about the bigamy, where someone tries to blackmail you against your spouses unless you pay them some money - just little things like that is what made Fable II so enjoyable.
The only thing however, the actual main storyline I found to be really, really weak. Spoilers, but at the very last boss fight.. You shoot him once in the middle of his tirade and he falls off a ledge and dies...... THATS IT! Also I regretted my final choice between the three. If you get to that point choose the middle one - definitely.

I married a lesbian in the game, but bisexuals are also "woo-able" because of the circled ring towards the love end of the 'opinion of you' line when you highlight a character. Straight men have the same marriage ring but some npcs important to quests or plot line (or gay males) do not. I believe it is the same way for male players only lesbians are the ones without the ring.
I have a daughter (I got a friend to stand in the room) and she sometimes calls me or my wife "daddy". So yeah, like the "bad boy" comment above, there are some gender confusion issues.
Another thing I found interesting is the ability to cross dress, even wear a beard as a female. There is also a "gender-bender potion" that switches gender but I haven't been able to find it myself yet.

This is one of the games that got me interested in buying a 360 in the first place. So refreshing to play as a female not to mention in a gay relationship. Plus I love this type of adventure role playing game to begin with. All win.

my first wife now likes to say "oh you bad boy!" when we have sex. the other wife keeps saying "i've always liked bad boys" or "you're a naughty boy aren't you?" :/
dammit. i'm not a boy! i wonder if it's because i am a woman wearing some men's clothing and i have a "male haircut" *sigh*
fable II doesn't comprehend genderqueer identities :(

Isn't there a sex potion somewhere in the game. MAYBE if your character is male w/ wife and child, after you drink the potion you'll be female w/ wife and child. Unfortunately I think you have to beat the game to get this so it's hardly worth it.

@ Bucky
Wow thanks for your detailed comment.. great stuff!
@ Serafer
There are lesbian NPCs, the image used in this post is a screenshot we took of one of the NPC character descriptors. As Bucky pointed out their are gay, straight and bi characters.
@ Other commenters
Get it... it's REALLY good!

I bought Fable II without owning a 360. :P I'm currently using my roommate/friend's 360.Lol. So far, I'm able to flirt with any female NPC but I'm not sure if there are such thing as lesbian NPCs. Lol
