Prism Comics gay lesbian bisexual and transgender comics for big queer geeks!

While looking at the Comic-Con rundown yesterday, my interest was peaked by the inclusion of a company named Prism Comics, who apparently support lesbian, gay, bi and transgendered comics, creators and readers. Knowing how many of you lovely lesbian geeks are into comics, I decided to do a little investigating and see what Prism Comics are all about.

According to their page, Prism are a nonprofit organization originating in 2003. They started off as a group of volunteers who published an annual publication called Out in Comics which listed LGBT creators in comics and quickly grew from there.

They now publish the annual guide Prism Comics: Your LGBT Guide to Comics and have a fantastic website that has a ton of details on queer comics and the people who love them. One of the coolest parts about Prism is that they actively encourage people to send submissions to them and even cover press releases and news articles about LGBT comics. You can volunteer to help them out, or simply head over to their site to show them some love.
