Videogames glorify violence and (I see that the article is from the States) Americans are well known for their prudish attitudes towards sex. Violence in the media in America isn’t perceived to be as threatening to their children as sex is. It’s a little silly. A severed head means that a violent crime has been committed against someone, that someone has been killed. But two men kissing or a man and a woman having sex — are both consentual, loving acts between adultss. The fact that this should be more offensive than violence is just disgusting.

The only thing I can think of as to why Severed Heads wasn’t higher. Is because no one seen one in real life only in movies and games and they are meant to be cool.

It should be noted that this was a website like the PTC where a bunch of assholes get together and try to see who is the most homophobic.
It’s like if Gamepolitics had a poll asking “are videogames awesome?” they’d have different results then if a site like Entomologistsonline.com had the same poll.
