Resident Evil 5 female partner

First look scenes of Chris Redfield’s female partner in Resident Evil 5 have hit and we have to say she seems pretty cool and not at all the sniveling wimp we were expecting (we blame Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles for this preconceived notion).

Resident Evil 5 is due for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 next year. The title is rumored to be set in Haiti or ‘an unknown African country’ and is set 10 years after Resident Evil.  The female character is as yet unnamed and is featured in the latest trailer saying "I may not be as big as you, but I can still hold my own" to which Mr Redfield replies "no worries, my last partner was a woman too"… shame that wasn’t her line when they were talking romantic interludes.

   I like. But as ‘partner’ does that mean she is just a tag along or do you get to control her as well? How involved is she going to be in the actual gameplay?

   I’m pretty sure you’ll get to control her as well. Players were given control of the female partners in all past RE games, even as the defenseless little girls that you had to protect.

   That woman is MAYBE Sherry Birkin from RE2. There are rumours about it so i dont know for sure.
   Heres a little copypaste:
