MS Lips SingStar for Xbox 360? That seems to be the upshot of it, though nothing has been confirmed. You may recall we mentioned MS Lips some time ago when it was rumored to be a ‘sound input device’ for the 360. As it is now – again – rumored to come with two wireless microphones, that guestimation may be right. It’s also thought to come with 30 songs, including something by Madonna.
There will also be downloadable songs and it might even have the ability to play your own tracks off iPod or HD. Gameplay will be scored based on tone, pitch and rhythm apparently. MS are yet to comment.
Thought we’d add more to this post since it related directly to all those leaks that sprung from intellisponse (marketing) over the last day or so.
Other leaks (all unconfirmed atm along with My Lips) include:
GH4 guitar will allegedly feature a new touch-sensitive guitar neck slide meaning you can use the entire neck for solos. Also the following groups are alleged to appear: Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Korn, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Ozzy Osbourne, Interpol, System of a Down, Muse "and dozens more".
The new Tony Hawk’s title will feature a motion sensitive board controller on the Xbox 360 and PS3. (great.. more peripherals!)
Xbox 360 styled ‘Mii’ avatars. This looks awesome, hopefully it’s true. The 360 Avatars will allegedly come with loads of customization and will represent you in some games and in your profile.
Trioxide is something mentioned that sounds too good to be true. Essentially it’s touted as giving PC gamers the ability to play console games on ther PCs’. "Introducing the ability to play the latest console games (i.e. Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, etc.) on your PC. Many of these games are only available on consoles today and with this new feature would now be available on the PC as well. With this new feature those console games are now playable on your PC!" – though it does state it won’t use keyboard or mouse, so really, what’s the point.
Scene It? is apparently going to have a cool Pop Culture Edition that will cover more than just movies. That sounds good to use, Scene It? is cool, but definitely needs more editions.
Ultimate Band for the wii uses the Nunchuk and WiiMote for the various instruments. We’d point you to a clip we saw on YouTube yesterday, but it’s since been swiftly removed.
Wii Yoga was also on the leaks list and sounds like an expanded Wii Fit Yoga title and let’s face it, not nearly as cool as having Jillian Michaels screaming at you.
Ha! A new Tony Hawk board to add to my collection of music-game peripherals. I should probably just accept that I’m never going to win this battle.
Yesterday was quite the day for leaks, no? I’ll be very interested to see if all this Wii-like stuff does indeed make its way over to the 360 and PS3. (I also saw something about a rumored PS3 controller that breaks apart into a WiiMote/Nunchuk type configuration.)
