Here we are, it’s the end of the week, we’re hankering to finish work for the day so we can get some Rock Band and Indy love, but before we do, it’s time for the game news rundown.
You’ll find everything in here that’s happened of importance this week, along with some quirky stuff. Heck, we might even update this post as the day progresses, so you might want to check back later too. See how much we wuvs you.
All your gaming news after the jumperoo.
Funcom Breasts in Age of Conan
Funcom released a patch for Age of Conan and the female characters breast size shrunk. Apparently this got major uproar from players who wanted the gargantuan mammary glands reinstated. Strange one really, but the developer quote of “your breasts should be back to normal soon” has to be the quote of the year.
GTA IV episodic content early next year
Says it all really, the first batch of GTA IV episodic content will release as downloadable goodness 1st quarter next year (that’s January to March for those baffled). Content will be a full episode for the 360, no word on PS3.
Afrika like Pokemon Snap with Animals?
That’s the rumor of the long awaited Afrika for PS3. Remember those gorgeous films Sony showed off of animals on the PS3 before its release. Seems like the game is released in Japan this August, no further release dates are available. You’ll play a photographer taking photos of animals.
Raving Rabbids TV Party – Steer with your Butt
How cool is this, the first hands on reports for Raving Rabbids TV Party are in and there will be loads of balance board mini games in the final product. You can toboggan and use your butt to steer. The developers have stated up to 30% of the final game may feature balance board games. Surfing please!!
Rumormill – No More Tony Hawk for Neversoft?
That’s the rumor. The developer has brought us the franchise for over a decade, but rumor has it Activision want to breathe new life into the series and have handed it to another developer. Youch. Oh and the new developer is rumored to be Robomodo.
Famitsu give Metal Gear Solid 4 a ‘perfect’
Yes apparently Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3 is truly astounding. The Japanese magazine doesn’t often hand out perfect scores, with only seven titles getting the coveted position, though we have to wonder who the heck reviewed Nintendogs, since that was one of the others to get it.
Neopets – Like Puzzle Quest with cute things
Yes the folks behind Puzzle Quest aren’t only beavering away on Puzzle Quest 2, they’re also working on Neopets Puzzle Adventure for Wii, PC and DS. The game will feature Neopet characters and the usual PQ RPG aspects, this time based around the game of Othello. Sounds cute.
Resident Evil 5 female character – Hot!
Yes finally the female partner is Resident Evil 5 has been semi revealed, at least in image format. She doesn’t have a name but she is hot, hot, hot, though still suffers from the usual non armored cleavage issue. Yes she’s hot, muscular, but could be doing with more armor, given zombies are going to want to munch on her biceps. More HERE and yes apparently you can play her as we mentioned in last weeks news. w00t!
Tidbits:

BioShock film likely launch with BioShock 3 game. Good news for BioShock fans.. trilogy!
Under-performing XBLA titles removed. Aaron Greenberg hints at a revamped XBLM to cope with all the titles rather than deleting them in future.

The Sims 2 Apartment Life for PC available soon. Features apartment living for The Sims 2. Move out of the suburbs and into a cool apartment.
The Princess Bride Game goes on sale digitally from June 11 and is available for Mac and PC. It looks pretty cute, you can check it out HERE, however “inconceivable!” that might seem.
Oh my, that is a lot of information to digest! First off, glad to know that if I should ever play Age of Conan, that my breasts will be back to normal (whatever that may be?). That guy who got a perfect score on guitar hero, well, I didn’t see any bleeding fingers in his vid, and kudos to him for having the forethought to tape it. And lastly, got to love the steer with your butt game. I personally have a balance/bongo board (that’s what we called it back in the late 70′s) and I love it. All of the surfers from Southern California brought them up to University of California, Santa Barbara, and my freshman dormitory had the most fun “riding the bongo”. Granted, it was the late 70′s, so dubious chemical enhancements were involved, but I was thrilled to actually find a bongo board for sale online a few years ago, and it really brings back the memories, ok, the memories that were not lost to the chemicals, that is. Ha! Also, the story about “The Puppy” episode of “Ellen” that you guys shared in the Hot 100 countdown was really cool. Have fun on your winter holiday, M’kay?
Wow, I’m really excited about the GTA epis.
I don’t know how I feel about the whole Resident Evil thing anymore, after playing 4 I think it was on the Wii I was somewhat disappointed cause I loved 1 and 2.
Neopets are corrupting youth I swear it. Kids are gonna be like yo mommy can I have a Lupe and mommies gonna be like wtf did you say.
Anyways, I agree that is a lot of information, thanks.
Good rundown. I’m happy about the RE5 thing, and Bioshock sequels are certainly welcomed as well. That Dragonforce video was insane and now I’m going to try and finish the game in Hard mode at least.
Steering with your butt on the next Rayman game sounds hilarious. I love it!
With regards to that Guitar Hero guy. Truly amazing. It wasn’t a fluke he was filming. He films all his attempts and uploads his best efforts. He’d never hit the 100% on Dragonforce expert though hence his reaction.
That Guitar Hero video was completely insane. If that was me, instead of running around and cursing like an idiot at the end, you would just see me lying on the floor, dead from the shock of it all. I’m a decent player, but there’s only so many notes my brain can process, and I could hardly keep up just while watching the video.
That’s great news about BioShock. It was one of my 3 favorite games of 2007 (along with Mass Effect and Rock Band). I knew 2K Marin was working on a sequel, but the trilogy news was a surprise. I’m very curious about how they’ll manage a return to Rapture story wise, given the endings of the first game.
