Lesbian Nurses in Silent Hill

Lesbian Nurses in Silent Hill, now there’s a headline bound to grab your attention and then swiftly turn your stomach. Doesn’t seem to have put Russian artist Mikhail Gluhov off putting paint to canvas though. As well as the lesbian nurses from Silent Hill, Gluhov has a portfolio full of strange and deranged masterpieces, with a few gaming themed pices thrown into the mix.

We can’t quite work out if Gluhov is a genius, sexist or loves violence involving women, maybe he’s a bit of each. You can check out his full portfolio HERE and those lesbian nurses in full after the jump.

   Overall his portfolio is just plain creepy. Perhaps not as much as a HR Gieger artbook but it’s up there.
   As far as sexist, I kind of wonder if he isn’t using the sexuality layered on top of gore as a comment about western culture’s obsession with T&A and Violence?

   Eh, to be honest it just reminds me of all those torture porn movies people think are horror movies nowadays. Not quite as graphic but similarly disturbing. Not my thing.

   They can’t even kiss… but since this is Silent Hill 2 we’re talking about (Pyramid Head-mannequin rape scene, anyone?), I’m not at all disturbed by this image. It even looks sensual.
   The gallery isn’t my thing either, but again, not that disturbed. I guess I’ve been much desensitised.

   Mikhail Gluhov is kids stuff compared to HR Gieger not to mention Gieger isn’t that off the main stream when it comes to sexual art….with sexual overtones in games…and the toonish sexual mechanical object’s made in Europe not to mention anime…if anything HR gieger was just a little before his time….and should be the father of all these things because he started the fanboy and fangirl lovin of things that are….off the mark.

    Upon further review, call is reversed and point is conceeded to you. Less browsing DA for me, more going to the local art gallery. Less reading WH40k, more reading Arthur C Clarke. My tastes have really been suffering as of late.

    I’m always up to date on HR Geiger works….either he’s getting raunchier or its just me..and as for Arthur C Clarke…awesome choice…no one writes sci-fi better!!!!
