IKEA for The Sims

Yes it really is IKEA for The Sims and I don’t know about you, but EVERY trip I make to the big yellow and blue store I see scores of lesbian ladies (on staff and in queues). Is this every Sim loving lesbian’s dream come true or what! The Sims 2 IKEA Home Stuff is the latest new content for The Sims 2 and brings a selection of must-have items from IKEA to key living spaces in your Sims’ home focused on the bedroom, the living room and the home office.

Now you can give your Sims’ home a makeover with new furniture and décor based on stylish designs by IKEA! The Sims 2 IKEA Home Stuff Pack ships to retailers everywhere on June 23 in North America, June 27 in Europe and June 20 across the Asia-Pacific regions.

On a side note if you’re a parent or new to IKEA, check out the Mombian vlog over at AfterEllen as they’ve done a special on IKEA for kids (real IKEA, not Simming), cool stuff.

The Ikea stores are quite popular here in California, but the best place to got trolling for ladies is the big box home improvment center, Home Depot. We are blessed here in my local area to have an Ikea and a Home Depot right next door to each other. That is cool that the Sims 2 now has access to Ikea furnishings.

    IKEA is huge in Germany.
Every day that big blue and yellow swedish house is filled with every sort of person imaginable. Everyone from me!, trendy penny-watching students and even the old oma from down the street.
A really good idea from the my sims people.

Oh my!! I haven’t played Sims2 in ages, but I’m really such an IKEA ho. I can count the furniture in my apartment not from IKEA on one hand. Seriously.

Allen keys for all! What a great idea and a great addition to the Sims. One of the joys of (my) life is getting a flat pack home, strapping my tool belt on to pretend i’m actually building something meaningful from scratch. A Sim doing the same sounds wicked cool to me.

It would be great if one Sim could give the other what is known in our house as “the IKEA look” – which is short for “please stop trying to help me so much and just do as I ask while I juggle as these bitty parts” look.

This actually seems like an excellent match. A great example of product placing in gaming.

Aiiii, this is both good news and bad news! The Sims 2 main neighbourhood my lesbian family is in is already so bloated! D:
