We bang on about console games all the time here at the LG, so we thought we’d do something for all those PC gamers out there. Let’s take a look at a very cool MMORPG in the form of Dark Age of Camelot. Got your attention with the Camelot thing right? I mean who doesn’t love Arthurian legends!
Dark Age of Camelot released back in 2001, but it’s kept up to date with loads of new adventures and add-ons ever since. If you’re into PvE or PvP gameplay styles and you haven’t had a chance to check this out, why not give it a try? We’re informed it’s heaps of fun and you can get a 14 day free trial at the official website. Now, I’m off to read The Lady of Shallot.
For anyone new to the DAOC i’d recommend playing on one of the ‘classic’ servers as these have the largest communities of players around still and a smaller gear gap if you’re interested in pvp. The animations and UI are pretty dated, but it’s still a great game.
This could be interesting now that I’ve stopped playing Wow. I only ever played it casually but didn’t have much to do once I levelled.
Does DAoC have enough PvE to satisfy someone who isn’t into PvP? I just like to run around solo completing quests and adventuring.
