Xbox Live ‘Code of Conduct’
I was chatting to a good pal of mine and she said she’d been suspended from XBL because of something she’d innocently written in her motto. The offending words were ‘ding motherfookers’, a saying stated at leveling up in CoD4 and covered recently by Penny Arcade. This same pal had a guy on her friends list whose motto was ‘beat women’, though he wasn’t suspended.
This got us wondering, is ‘lesbian’ permitted in your XBL motto, or does that word go against the Xbox Live Code of Conduct? Does anyone have the word in their motto? Has anyone else been suspended for their motto and if so what was the problem? If you can have ‘beat women’ in your motto, but not something direct from Penny Arcade (‘ding motherfooker’), just what is the XBL Code of Conduct worth. To top it off, said friend also gamed with someone with the gamertag ‘Bacon z Jews’, how does the ‘Code of Conduct’ view that we wonder.

It’s not the suspension that bothers me. It’s the fact that others have done far worse than me yet still remain on XBL, unpunished. *sigh* Guess I’ll go play my DS now.
I’d also like to point out that my friend, Jesus, was not permitted to put his name in his bio. He managed to get around the censor but I have to wonder if he’ll be suspended now too…..for simply trying to use his real name.

Still not as dumb as the DS & Wii friend code thing, that’s AnNoYiNg and I bet Nintys is worse for censoring stuff!

i got suspended for my motto being “semper fi motherf” and had to change my gamertag
Looks like XBL relies on people to report just like blizz.
I realize this is an old post, but I wanted to say the ‘report’ feature of Xbox live does ZERO, ZIP, NADA, NOTHING. I had this total douchebag stalking me and harrassing not only me but my friends, what happened to him with al lthe reports? Nothing.. dude still has the same gamertag, still doing the same hateful things if making some gamers lives a miserable experience. I left Xbox Live because of it, do the people at Xbox care? No, they’re still have his money for his account, sso what if they lost me, had they taken the reporting seriously, he’d have been banned and me and my friends would still be on Xbox Live. For a paid service the Xbox team don’t give a rats ass about their good members.
