Get ‘The Shaft’ and Control Your Wii

Wrapping our lady loving hands / fingers around a shaft is the last thing us lesbian ladies would think about doing, but this might have us changing our minds. The rather phallically titled Wii controller ‘The Shaft’ is brought to you by Overline Gaming and released mid December. It is by their own admission "The only arcade style joystick for the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console".

Ok so why do we even care? Well we got to thinking, this is of interest for two reasons. Firstly, it looks like a vibrator and it’s called The Shaft, which in itself appealed to our immature sense of humor today. Secondly you never see companies releasing ‘The Vag’ or ‘The Honey Box’.. with a fire button so sensitive only a woman will know how to truly control it. Hell why not get Eve Ensler in, release one called ‘The C*nt’ and soak up all the free press. Just a thought. There are images of the pink, black and white Shaft at the WiiShaft website.. sounds multi cultural or painful.

   I was dead sure this was a joke…until I went to the site and saw “The Shaft” in all its curvaceous glory.
   What I can’t get over is that the product maker exhibits absolutely no self-awareness or humor. Hey, guys: you named it THE SHAFT!
   Among the product Q&A’s is: “How big is the shaft?” Okay, now the door is wide open (so to speak). At least acknowledge it! Not even one clever remark?
   Apparently that is a job best undertaken by Lesbian Gamers!
   Great new look for the site, by the way. Easy to navigate. Keep up all the great work!

   I agree about Eve Ensler though, man that would get a lot of free publicity. “Eve Ensler brings you The C Word joypad”.

   I promise not to post comments every 2 seconds, but I just want to say a quick word about Eve Ensler.
   We brought her to the college where I teach 3 years ago to speak in tandem with our production of “The Vagina Monologues.” We were the first all-male school in the USA to stage the play.
   Eve arrived early, met every student, answered every hostile question gracefully, and stayed afterwards to meet with our members of our local LGBT community. She is a wonderful person.
   So if she wanted to sell me a C-Word Joypad, I would buy one with no questions asked!
